The YMCA is a Christian movement which endeavors to bring wholeness, hope and

new direction to the lives of young people. It does this by providing a range of services,

designed to meet the needs of young people today and by offering care and respect for

the individual.

The YMCA aims to engage young people in activities and processes which stimulate them physically,

socially and spiritually and which develop decision making skills and personal autonomy.

In 2012 YMCA Cork successfully negotiated the Dept. of Children & Youth Affairs’ National Quality Standards Framework (NQSF) and submitted its Improvement Plan & first Progress Report.

Previously YMCA Cork had participated in the Health Promoting Youth Service Initiative receiving the Gold Q Mark for 9 consecutive years.
